Quite a workhorse

The description says, "Max core size 2-5/8 inches deep". I just cut a 2" hole through an 8" thick concrete wall. It worked great - the cores broke off in 2-3" chunks due to the vibration of the hammer drill (Makita HR4041C). It didn't come with any instructions, so I made my best guesses as to how to use it. I "dry drilled" with no problem. After the hole had a good start, I removed the guide bit (the drill bit in the middle) and it was smooth sailing the rest of the way through the wall. I'd estimate that it took about 15 minutes of hammer drilling. I was very impressed.

Did its job very well.

Works great going through brick or block walls. Haven't tried on concrete yet.

A great bit, but needs a beefy rotary hammer drill

It worked great, but too large for my rotary hammer. I could only drill to about an inch before the clutch in my drill started kicking in. Because of my drill's limitation, I couldn't push enough and had to "baby" it to drill deeper. With a bigger rotary hammer drill, nothing can stop this baby. I should have gotten the 3" diameter bit. My rotary hammer was a 1-1/2" Hitachi, FYI.

Was worth the money for the end result

This core bit worked perfect for me. I install radon systems and use these core bits to get through the brick or cinder block on the exteriors of buildings and houses. I have used it about 20 times since my purchase, and every hole has been perfect!

This drill bit kicks you know what , even through the rebar ! I love Bosch drill bits ! I am a Plumbing contractor and need quality tools and this is it

Price Great!

Price was unbeatable. The issue I had Was the discription was wrong. Spline shank is different than sds max. Had to find and buy $110.00 adaptor to use this bit in my drill, it cost more than bit itself.
