Perfect for Sensitive Skin and Sun Protection
This sunblock does not have the cancer causing products in it. My cousin has very sensitive skin, and this is the only sunblock he has used that does not make him itch. I still tan easily without getting sunburned. It is so good that I have given it to my family and friends as well so they can purchase more later.

A great mineral sunscreen
I love this stuff, but be warned that this is not going to be a great sunscreen for everyone, which is why I knock this down to 4/5 instead of 5/5. It absorbs well (for me) but looks a lil greasy, even after letting it sit for a moment. It looks greasy, but it doesn't feel greasy, make of that what you will. I personally really like looking glowy without having sticky/moist feeling skin. Another thing: If you have darker skin, this might not be the best product for you :( (and tbh ppl with darker skin are probably already well aware of this possibility with all/most mineral sunscreens, but I just wanna confirm this does in fact leave a white cast) I am pale as snow, so the white cast this leaves on my skin almost works like a tinted SPF (lol). BUT, I believe Blue Lizard has a Sheer SPF that works a lot better for more melanated individuals. This stuff doesn't pill up, even when I use a thick moisturizer underneath it. It looks great when I put makeup on top of it. It stays on basically all day and doesn't budge, I actually have to work it a little to get it off my skin with my cleanser at the end of the day. I use this on my face and my body daily and it has never broken me out or stung my eyes and I have pretty darn sensitive skin. If you need a heavy-duty sunscreen (and again, you either don't mind a white cast or are pale) this stuff is very good!!

Perfect for the kiddos
The kids were allergic to other sunscreens, but they used this one without reactions. It is kinda thick to spread on them.

thick and creamy, very smooth, but will sting eyes
I recently purchased the Australian Sunscreen mineral sunblock and overall, I am quite pleased with it. One thing to note is that it is not waterproof, only water resistant, so it's important to remember to reapply after swimming or sweating. One downside of this sunscreen is that it can be slightly greasy, which may not be ideal for those with oily skin. Additionally, it can sting the eyes if it gets into them, so be careful when applying around the face. One thing I really appreciated about this sunscreen is that it doesn't leave a white cast on my Asian skin, which is a common issue with many mineral sunscreens. It is also thick and creamy, which makes it easy to apply and spread evenly on the skin. Overall, I would recommend the Australian Sunscreen mineral sunblock for those who are looking for a water resistant, mineral sunscreen that is free of a white cast. Just be aware of its slightly greasy texture and potential to sting the eyes.

Great product!!
It covers very well and is reef friendly. It is difficult to spread but it’s easy to tell where it’s been applied and where it hasn’t. It also seems to last awhile between applications.

Great sunblock. Won't burn your eyes!
Let's begin by acknowledging that all sunscreens advise you to apply it fifteen minutes before exposure. More on this in a moment. Blue LIzard is a mineral based sunscreen, being composed of granulated zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. It has other ingredients, of course, but these are the ones that actually block the sun. The important word here is "block". Because of these two ingredients, Blue Lizard is actually a physical sun blocker as opposed to other, chemical based, sunscreens which absorb harmful UV rays. This is an important distinction for two reasons. First, the absence of chemicals, primarily avobenzone, means that Blue Lizard will not burn your eyes should your sweat run into them. For me, this is a good thing because it seemed my eyes were always burning with other sunscreens. Second, it will go on white and you will look as though you are wearing a white mask. Remember seeing people on the beach with white lotion protecting their nose? Well, that was zinc oxide and it's the zinc oxide in Blue Lizard that gives you a white cast when you apply it. I've read a few reviews where people are unhappy about this. Well, I think the whiteness is a GOOD THING. Why? Because it absolutely lets you see WHERE you are applying it. As a result, you should not miss any spots. Since I use Blue Lizard exclusively on my face, this is important to me. To minimize the whiteness, remember that a little goes a long way. If you slather it on, the effect will be more pronounced. Once you're sure you've covered all the areas that need covering, spend a little time rubbing it in to lessen the effect. Also, remember that fifteen minutes I mentioned? Apply it fifteen minutes before you go out and you should be fine. Some reviewers have mentioned that they find it greasy. It is a lotion after all, but I don't find it greasy at all and nowhere near as greasy as chemically based sunscreens. Besides burning my eyes, other sunscreens always left me looking shiny to the point of appearing wet. That's OK for arms and legs or other exposed areas, but not my face. Of course, you cannot ignore cost. There are other sunscreens with formulations similar to Blue LIzard, but they are all much more expensive. One in particular costs about $23 for 1.5 ozs. That works out to about $15 per ounce. Blue Lizard is the same formulation and is much more cost effective. Finally, I am just getting over a bout of skin cancer on my nose, basal cell carcinoma. When I told my dermatology surgeon I was planning to use Blue Lizard, she said that she was about to recommend it. Good enough for me. That's the bottom line for all of us. We're not talking about sunburns, really. We're talking about getting skin cancer. Believe me, you don't want to go there. If I look a little pale while wearing a sunscreen that protects my face, then that's a tiny price to pay.

New favourite sunscreen
Definitely my new favourite sunscreen for my face. I personally struggle finding a good sunscreen for my face as my eyes are very sensitive and I cannot tolerate any kind of scent. I have only found two sunscreens that are not scented and don't irritate my eyes - this one and the Paula's Choice Calm SPF, but this one worked out better value for money. (Although I have noticed the price jumps around - I got it for around £20) I love this sunscreen, it is quite thick and so you need to spend a little time rubbing it in, but once rubbed in it looks fine. It does make my face shiny, but all mineral SPFs do that - I just wait for it to sink in then put on my normal matte mineral powder foundation, and then all shine goes away. I didn't notice a white caste once rubbed in, but then I do have pale skin so I can't say what it would be like for darker skins. I love the way it felt on the skin. Normally I dislike how sunscreen feels - it usually feels tacky and greasy. But once rubbed in properly this just felt really soft and silky. And best of all - absolutely no smell or irritation! I am so sensitive to scents and often things advertised as not having a scent still do in my experience. But this is the real deal, it smells like nothing, nothing at all.

The best sun cream
This is the cream of the crop when it comes to sun creams. A little goes a VERY long way, as it’s such good quality. One of my kids used to take it to a day long sailing camp and all the camp cousilors would even want to buy it and borrow it as it was so effective where we used to live (very hot weather and no shade while sailing all day!). Everyone who tried it found it more effective than the factor 50s they had. Never met anyone who borrowed it and didn’t think it was the best. Good for sensitive skin too.

Disappointing
Blue Lizard sunscreen is often top rated in reviews so I was expecting great things, but I found it disappointing compared to the three others that I alternate between. There are definitely better sunscreens out there. The consistency is gloopy and feels slimy on the skin, very uncomfortable. Worse than that, I felt my skin burning far sooner than I would have expected. I didn't enjoy using it, and I didn't think it was very effective. On the plus side, it changes colour from white to blue in the bottle when exposed to light, which is a gimmick but quite fun, especially for children I should think. It looks white on your skin when you first apply it, but that fades.

First Class Sun Cream
Love this suncream. I recognise its quite expensive but worth every penny to me. I like everything about it. It doesn't irritate my sun sensitive skin, it doesn't stain my white clothing yellow and its cosmetically elegant to use - by that, I mean, it doesn't take an age to rub in and doesn't appear to leave a white cast. Another positive is that it doesn't leave my skin feeling tacky to the touch. It's also been amazing in not exacerbating prickly heat which I have suffered from this year. I cannot praise this product highly enough.

Shiny AF
I have been on the hunt for a water resistant physical/mineral sunscreen with zinc oxide and this seemed to fit the bill. I have a darker skin tone (Fitzpatrick IV) - this does leave a white cast initially and requires quite a bit of slow, rubbing it, but after about 20 mins the white cast dissipates. The problem is that it leave a very, very shiny finish, even more than Altruist lotion (but mind you, Altruist fluid is almost as shiny as this). If you are a make-up wearer I guess you can use powder, but as a male it was a bit problematic for me. Due to the shininess and a lot of effort needed to apply this on to achieve a minimal white cast, I am giving this 3 out of 5 stars.
