Bought this as a gift, I have two

I have large flower beds and use them to trim and dead head my flowers, a two day job has become a couple hours. My favorite garden tool !!!!

Not Perfect

Bought to do some trimming around a few areas. Does trimming alright. Not the strongest so don't push it. Battery does last very long. Changing the blades can be a bit frustrating. NOTE: To release the Black Bottom Plate to change blade - Push the small black thing on the back WHILE sliding the bottom plate toward the handle. One other minor pain is the charger plug goes in one way only. And can be pain to remove since there is not much room for fingers. Good for a bit of light trimming. Look elsewhere for longer lasting heavier trimming.

Battery life is simply okay.

I mistakenly thought this was compatible with the 20 volt line of Black and Decker products that I've been very happy with. I own a hedge trimmer, edge trimmer and leaf blower that all take the same 20 Volt, rechargeable battery pack. This product has an internal battery. It isn't terribly powerful. I would limit its use to grass and shrubs that are easily trimmed and don't have thick or hard to cut branches. It is light and easy to use, but it isn't designed for heavy use.

Handheld Garden Shear - 3.6 Volt

Took me a while to understand the manual, but once I got the Garden Shear together - I am mechanically challenged..and charged it up..worked like a dream..I simply love it..and have already saved myself a few bucks as I did not have to hire anyone to trim back my extensive perennial beds for the Fall..did it myself..and it was fun...I hope this never goes out of stock...but do be sure to spray a little WD40 before you start..and the directions insist only work on dry foliage..and I agree...after each use, I charge up, wipe the blades clean, and squirt a bit of WD 40, ready for the next job..I take a hand full of stalks with my left hand and slice them off with the Garden Shear...so quick, and effecient...

This little thing is great. The power lasts quite a long time and doesnt decrease gradually. There are a couple of minuses but minor for what it does. The grass cutter works much better than the hedge trimmer attachment and I find myself using the grass attachment for all. The safety button you need to constantly hold down with thumb while running is quite a pain. Because that thumb could be better used for handling the unit! I find myself having to override that button with a taped down vitamin pill in order to properly handle the unit.. However overall this handy and efficient tool will get that grass trimmed with little effort. It also does a great job edging sidewalk blocks. Highly recommend. Thanks!

working great

Had purchased a knock-off brand via Amazon that lasted less than 2 summers, so thought would try a brand name this time. So far, working just fine, recharging fine, plenty of juice to do the whole yard lawn trimming. The hedge attachment is useful for very light trimming, but will not handle any stems more than 1/8 inch or so.

They DO WORK !!!

I broke my wrist on my right hand and was unable to use garden shears for the fall clear up...these little cutters meant I could still cut down the flowers using it in my left hand, Brilliant.! They sound a little "tinny" but do the job perfectly. The safety button is a good idea, reminding you to keep the fingers of your other hand out of the way !!!
