Vent in cap does not seem to allow enough air in. cap could be left loose or ???Also filter on pickup line in tank is very small could clog very easily it is easily removed I used a inline filter before the motor

Decent, Not Great
This gas tank works well but EPA requirements don’t allow for any sort of vent system, so the tank will swell up in the sun. There’s a vented gas cap made by Moeller that’s an adequate replacement, making the tank perform up to standards.

not a bad little tank
the tank itself is pretty decent. the only thing i do not like is the cp. if you buy this tank or any tank with this new epa cap you will want to replace it with a cap that has the old style vent. if let sit it will swell up like a ballon. the options are ,,old stye cap or leave the cap loose which can lead to a fue;l leak. overall not to bad.

Fuel overflow.
The size is what I need but you can’t fill it up to capacity. As the gas expands, it pushes past the vent cap. Probably won’t buy again.

3 gallon fuel tank
I needed a new fuel tank for my 50 year old Harley Davidson golf cart and this tank fit the bill perfectly. I had to fabricate some mounting brackets from aluminum angle to fit it to my golf cart frame.

MOST IMPORTANT!
As we all know the EPA has ruined these as of 2011. To prevent pressure, swelling, leaking or carb issues. Just pop the top of the cap off take put the white plunger and snap the cap back together. Just like that you have a vented tank that's protected from the elements. Update. Don't waste the money. You'll get about a year out of the tank before the pickup hose falls apart. Incredibly cheap hose.

Not worth the hassle
Bought this so my this so my dingy would be lighter bringing up on my davits. Gas cap does not vent so have to leave it open. Not a good thing out in the sea. Also at a crucial moment go out from the beach and surf engine gave up due to the cheap plastic pick up hose that was disintegrating Flooded my boat almost lost a few items. Took off gas cap and could see the hose in pieces. Cleaned out the tank and currently on the hunt for a new hose. Filter is a joke I use a filter before my engine since my dingy is my truck my car and limo.

It was not a 3 gallon like I ordered
It was not a 3 gallon like I ordered, but was compact enough to fit under the boat seat for the kicker motor. Worked out better, so there was more gas onboard. I switched out the cap, for an airflow one, as this doesn't have an air release to allow more flow. Sturdy and portable if need be.
