Makes Outlets Inaccessible to Littles

Our little ones love to pull on plugs and electrical cords unfortunately, so these outlet covers have been very helpful! They keep little hands from pulling the plugs out of the wall but are removable when we need to plug something else in temporarily. I would not suggest them for high traffic outlets (outlets that are being used by multiple plugs multiple times a day) but more for things like lamps or televisions that are plugged in at all times. It’s not hard for an adult to take the outer cover off, but it would get annoying having to do it often. Note: The openings at the bottom are big enough for most electrical cords, but we have some thicker cords that were too big to fit and prevented the cover from snapping into the base. We had to break/cut off some of the plastic to make the opening bigger. That was a great solution for us, but consider your electrical cord size when ordering.

Toddler proof!

This unit securely keeps plugs and outlet away from children. Installation is easy. Once installed properly and cover is attached, it takes some effort to push in the side tabs of cover to open it. Not too easy that a child can figure it out and have the needed strength to depress both tabs on opposite sides. Very pleased with purchase!

Product is a must

This product is a must for children of all ages especially toddlers for safety. With a flathead to remove the standard outlet cover and to install this one. Not complicated very easy and self explanatory. Secures cord very snug and no worries of danger with this product.

Only for average size plugs

They work great if the plugs are just a small lamp plug. They will not close of it’s anything bigger than that.

Baby proofing must have!

Our kiddo is so curious, so instantly the outlets sparked his interest. He can't pull out plug protectors, but he quickly learned he can pull out the cords. These stopped that real quick! The covers are super easy to install and it would take quite some skill and super strength for a tot to get the cover off to get to the cord inside, even if they did figure it out. I feel much better about our son's safety now and definitely recommend these in any home that has exposed cords that a child can access. To install, you simply unscrew your current outlet cover plate and screw this one back on instead. This is nice because we live in an apartment and can't do anything damaging to the walls, but all we will do is switch the plates back out when we leave here!

Perfect except for cord accommodation.

We installed these in our kid’s bedroom and find the perfect EXEPT that you cannot use any horizontally-oriented plugs with these. So sadly, we had to get a whole different product in order to use our Hatch sound machine. Also - neither this or our other model outlet cover a accommodates the new iPhone 14 chargers. Would purchase again out of necessity but design could be a little more universally functional. ????‍♀️

Easy to install and keeps my grandbabies from pulling cords out and/or getting electrocuted.. I will be ordering more of these they do exactly what they are made to do.. highly recommend

Only fits older style outlets

It will only fit the older style outlets with the oval plugs. Not the newer rectangle outlets. Luckily I could easily modify it with a scroll saw and drilled 2 small holes to make it fit the rectangle shape. I feel much safer having a lamp plugged in right by her pillow now.

Keeps even the most curious three year olds out!

These are great! Our third child could get into everything until we found these. They’re hard for me to get off, to plug and unplug things, but they keep him out. Definitely not convenient to access the plugs these cover, but if you have a very capable toddler who is fascinated with plugs and is a maverick at removing safety devices, these will keep them away from the outlets. One note, these stick out really far from the wall, so if it’s for plugs behind furniture, you can no longer put the furniture flush against the wall.

my toddler has been defeated at last

I modified this to fit a decora receptacle, there was the exact same product for $20 that fit decora, or this one that fit older style for $7, only took 3 minutes with a drill and Dremel and it works perfectly to defend my plugs from a relentless toddler bent on destruction It is a slightly off white colour, and was suspiciously cheaper (in my haste and excitement at finding one $13 cheaper I didn't notice it didn't fit decora) than other similar products. But I am very pleased with its function, and the colour is not really noticeable at all, I do see other people complaining about it, as well as the receptacle type, but it is very clear in the photos and product description so I have no sympathy. I bought 3 and have only installed 1 so far but it has been excellent.

Verifica toma de corriente antes de comprar

Verifica que la toma de corriente tenga el tornillo en el centro de los enchufes, los míos son dos (arriba y abajo) y no pude usar este protector. La calidad del producto se ve buena y parece que hace bien su trabajo. Es beige, no blanco.

It's an off yellow not white in color

Why is the color an off yellow?! The first thing I thought was... This is used and has yellowed over time! But no it's supposed to be like that by reading others reviews who have been delivered the same color. Wow returning because of that, it stands out way to much on the wall. Also it wouldn't fit both my outlets, the baby monitor and sound machine.
