Steps in the installation instructions are a problem

There is no mention of the anti-scald adjustments until after assembly and installation. This is a problem because removal of the escutcheon cover is required. This is difficult because it fits tightly and most likely will cause damage. My call to the manufacturer was a waste of time. They did not care. So much for customer service

American Standard Are Quality Products!

Of course great lasting products from American Standard, However it is kinda aggravating that you get the valve but not the "rough in" for the valve to go in. At least when the construction is new. I understand that a rough in that's already in place can likely work with the valve as most things are standardized. But to order the entire kit and be missing the most important piece, and that be a standard process seems a little off to me. I'm waiting on the rough in to come in to install but this definitely seems like a quality set as far as fit and finish goes. I do like the style!

Looks Great - but - She Ordered This Without Me…

The media could not be loaded. My video shows it all. Except all the work I’ve put in remodeling up to this point, only to have an impatient client who also happens to live with and sleep next to, me - go and try ordering a shower faucet on her own. I know American Standard quality is tops - and so does she. So at least there’s that. Overall I would always recommend American Standard products to my friends and relatives.

Great Quality Finish

You can hardly tell that the shower headpiece itself isn’t made of the same metal that the base adjustment piece is and that is because all of the materials are such high quality and have a stainless and water-resistant finish on them. The look of these adds to any style of the bathroom because they are neutral and versatile. Additionally, these are incredibly easy to use and adjust when they are set up. I see lots of reviews saying that the downside to this showerhead is that there are no additional settings and that it can only do one singular setting, but to me, this is just more simple and adds to the minimalist design– the shower head has great water pressure and full coverage which is all I need! Another thing that draws me into this product is the no-leak lifetime guarantee which is amazing as many of these DIY installations can be prone to leaks. Additionally, one of the things I struggled with a bit was reading the directions for the installation of this showerhead. They are outlined in a non-chronological way and I was about halfway through reading the directions for the replacement installation before realizing that the directions I actually needed were on the other side of the page–ugh. It is a long process if you haven’t done something like this before and I wish the directions were more simple because the actual steps to install are really not that difficult. Overall, this looks great in any shower and I recommend it to anyone who is able and willing to look through directions.

Nice Matte Black finish

This set is the shower and water control only. It does not come with the tub spout. I did purchase separate so I could have a matching set. The shower head connector is made from metal but the shower head itself is plastic. However it is of good quality. The installation direction are easily understood.

Great black matte finish!

I have been waiting to change our restrooms fixtures (chrome colored) for black ones for a while. So I took advantage of this opportunity to order this shower set. It arrived in apparent good conditions, which is a good start. Love the finish and I'm sure it will be a great accent in our white restroom. The only thing I kind of not like much is that the shower head is light and feels cheap and fragile (time will tell). All my fixtures are cheap and have lasted more than 4 years.

Showerhead works great!

I requested this item on impulse and right after I had my order in I realized that it would take a full bathroom renovation to fully use it. I have the kind of shower hardware where the hot and cold water are controlled via separate fixture handles. So to fully install I'd need to cut a new hole in the tile as well as patch the two other offset holes that removing the existing fixtures would leave. Since my house/bathroom is older and already needs a reno(aqua blue tile) I've decided to wait for now for the full replacement/install of this kit. I did swap the showerhead though and it works just fine. So don't be like me and make sure this fully fits your needs before you order!
