Solid plate, screws are lacking

These look good and I’ve replaced all the cheap, plastic wallplates in our house with them. My only issue is the screws. No matter how delicate I try to be screwing them in, paint inevitably comes off and they look…not great.

Exactly what I hoped for

Ordered the oil rubbed bronze…these light switch plates look great and seem to be great quality. These are solid metal and sturdy and fit perfectly over my standard outlets. I can see these lasting many years to come. These are a little more expensive than your common light switch/outlet covers but you get what you pay for and these are worth it.

Nice piece, but I concur with others about the screws

The wallplate itself is very nice, and goes well with my Baldwin door hardware nearby. But I agree with the others about the poor quality of the included screws. I was very careful and I still chipped the paint off of one of them, which stands out like a sore thumb. I assume that anyone who goes out of their way to order a wallplate like this is pretty, uh, "detail oriented" like I am, and this will drive you nuts. I wouldn't discourage people from buying this item, but I'd say be prepared to source replacement screws, as I am about to go off and do.

Switch Cover Looks Great but..

The switch cover looks great but what is up with the cheap, painted screws. Why doesn’t Amerelle Manhattan hard anodize the screws instead of painting them and it’s terrible paint that chips no matter how careful you are putting them in.

Awesome purchase very inexpensive and METAL face plate. Terrific colour and very durable pleased with purchase. Amazon is great delivered in. a couple days from ordering

All in all pretty good.

Nice plates, look good. Elegant without being too fussy. Screws are a bit dodgy and the paint comes off them unless you’re really gentle with the screwdriver.

Just as expected

These are great. I’m not sure about all the fuss regarding the screws — they didn’t chip for me. But i also don’t use power tools so maybe that’s the difference? Just be gentle with them.
